Spring Hardwood Flooring brings tired oak floors back to life and lays new solid or engineered hardwood in homes across Spring, TX. Installed prices usually run $5 to $16 a square foot, and you'll have a written, itemized quote before any work starts. New wood rests in your house 3–5 days before install, and we test every slab for moisture. Oak, hickory, maple, walnut and exotics are all on the table.

The most common call we get in Spring. We sand off old finish and wear, fix gaps, optionally restain (orange 1980s oak to a modern natural tone is a favorite), and seal with polyurethane in your chosen sheen.

New ¾-inch solid boards in oak, hickory, maple, walnut or cherry, nailed over wood subfloors or glued where the slab allows. Solid wood can be refinished for generations.

A real wood wear layer (2–6mm) over a stable multi-ply core, in planks up to 7.5 inches wide. It's our go-to for slab foundations and rooms where humidity runs high.

Squeaks, loose or split boards, pet scratches and dents. We secure boards to the subfloor and weave in matching wood rather than hiding the problem.

Leaky dishwashers, ice-maker lines, a storm that pushed water under the door. We remove the ruined boards, dry and test what's beneath, then patch in matched species and stain.

Carpet-to-hardwood stair conversions, new treads and risers, and stair noses matched to your floor. Each step is measured on its own.

Herringbone halls, chevron dining rooms, borders and medallions. Hand-fitted and quoted clearly.

Carpet, tile, laminate or damaged wood comes out and gets hauled off. We inspect for rot, dips and loose panels while it's open.

Prefinished: sealed at the factory, quick and low-dust. Site-finished: sanded and coated in place for a flat surface and full custom color.
From the specialty shops of Old Town Spring to offices along the I-45 and Highway 249 corridors, we install and refinish hardwood for businesses, with after-hours scheduling so your doors stay open.

Durable species, low-maintenance finishes and a recoat schedule.

Historic-building repairs and traffic-lane refinishing.

Hard-wearing finishes, work scheduled around your hours.

Step 1: Visit and Measure
We measure, check moisture, look at transitions and stairs, and bring samples. If there's old hardwood, we check its thickness to see whether it can be sanded again.
Furniture moves, old flooring comes out, subfloors are repaired or leveled, and new wood acclimates.
New floors go down with staggered seams and an expansion gap. Refinishing jobs get multiple sanding passes, stain if chosen, and topcoats.
We clean up, walk the job with you and fix anything you flag. You get care instructions and a humidity target before we leave.

Most can. Solid ¾-inch oak can usually be sanded several times. We check thickness at a floor vent or threshold during the estimate and tell you how much life is left.
Roughly $5,000–$16,000 for material and labor, with most landing near $9,000. Engineered oak on a sound slab is on the lower end; exotics and patterns run higher.
For slab homes, usually yes. Its layered core resists swelling and shrinking. Solid works well over wood subfloors or wherever the HVAC holds humidity steady.
You can pull carpet yourself, but leave the tack strips and staples to us if you plan to refinish. Prying them out carelessly gouges the wood. Let us look first.
Refinishing a few rooms typically takes several days including dry time. New installs add 3–5 days of acclimation up front. Your written quote includes the schedule.
Refinishing what you already have. For new floors, engineered domestic oak or hickory in a prefinished plank keeps material and labor costs down.
